Additional terms for using SongLore.
Apple's Standard EULA governs the SongLore iPhone app license. These Additional Terms apply alongside that Apple agreement and cover SongLore's community features, user content, AI-assisted features, and service-specific rules.
1. Apple Standard EULA
SongLore is distributed through Apple's App Store. The license for the SongLore iPhone app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These Additional Terms supplement Apple's Standard EULA and do not replace it.
2. Acceptance of these additional terms
By accessing or using SongLore, you agree to these Additional Terms and the SongLore Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SongLore.
3. Eligibility and app audience
SongLore is currently intended for users in the United States. The app is not directed to children under 13, and some song data or interpretations may include mature themes. By using SongLore, you represent that you are legally permitted to use the app and that your use complies with applicable law.
4. Your account
SongLore currently uses Sign in with Apple for account access. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for keeping your access credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate account information, including your chosen username, and not to impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
5. Community content
SongLore allows users to post song interpretations and related community activity. You retain ownership of the content you submit, but you grant SongLore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service.
You are solely responsible for the interpretations and other content you post. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, infringing, spammy, misleading, or otherwise harmful.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Use SongLore to violate any law or another person's rights.
- Post infringing material, copied text you do not have the right to use, or content that violates intellectual property rights.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse other users.
- Attempt to interfere with the app's operation, security, or availability.
- Use bots, scraping tools, or unauthorized automation to access SongLore.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.
7. AI-assisted features
SongLore includes AI-assisted interpretation features. AI-generated content is provided for informational and creative purposes only. It may be incomplete, subjective, or inaccurate, and it should not be treated as fact, professional advice, or a definitive explanation of a song's meaning.
SongLore may use on-device processing and backend providers such as Gemini and Groq to support these features.
8. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement
SongLore provides tools to report interpretations and other user activity. Review may include AI-assisted moderation and human review when needed. SongLore reserves the right to investigate reports, remove content, limit visibility, suspend accounts, or terminate access at its discretion, especially in cases involving abuse, harassment, infringement, spam, fraud, or threats to the service or community.
9. Third-party services
SongLore includes links and integrations with third-party services, including Sign in with Apple, Apple Music, Spotify, Firebase, Gemini, and Groq. SongLore is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, content, or privacy practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.
10. Intellectual property
The SongLore app, branding, design, software, and original materials are owned by Skyler Martin or licensed to SongLore and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the app under Apple's Standard EULA and these Additional Terms, no rights are granted to you.
11. Account deletion and termination
You may delete your account from within the app. SongLore may suspend or terminate access at any time if these Additional Terms are violated, if the app or community is put at risk, or if continuing to provide access is no longer practical.
12. Service availability and disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SongLore is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. SongLore does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that AI or community interpretations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Apple Music, Spotify, Sign in with Apple, Firebase, Gemini, Groq, and other third-party services may change, suspend, or stop working without notice.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skyler Martin and SongLore will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of SongLore. Nothing in these Additional Terms limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
14. Governing law
Except to the extent superseded by Apple's Standard EULA or applicable law, these Additional Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes to these additional terms
SongLore may update these Additional Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
